An intership at Pancentric is where it all began where I crafted away for a year on websites for Gillette, Homepride and Midwich After finishing Stafforshire University with a degree in Interactive Multimedia I continued my love for music and a new found Apple prototyping tool called Quartz Composer (QC). Product design is the process of creating a new product to be sold by a business to its customers. A very broad concept, it is essentially the efficient and effective generation and development of ideas through a process that leads to new products.Google
In the tech industry a Product Designer is capable of various forms of design, he must be an Interaction designer, a visual designer, a motion Designer, coherient in user researchers and Business Strategists but most of all he is a ideas man. My main role as a product designer is to imagine digital product and express them in the best conceable way, understanding how best to illustate for an successful the writen pitch or presentation.
When conceiving ideas a technical understanding of the development process is essiental, its one thing to think of an idea its another to know if its even possible. I come from a developer and designer background which inheriently helps with the imagination and critism of product design.

How do I Create?

Most designers today create static mockups to communicate app ideas. But increasingly apps are anything but static, this is why I pratice high fidelity prototype design to 'Fail Early, Fail Fast, Fail Often' methody.
Quartz Composer and Form are the swiss arm knife of real time development. They can be used for app development, prototyping, motion graphics and video production.

I have been awarded contacts and early access to the most revolutionaly hardware on the market today.

I was the first developer in the UK to develop for the Kinect, Leap Motion and Myo from Thalmic Labs. In this time I test, create UX guidelines and build application for their hardware launch.

Using the Latest Technology

I love using technology to create interactive performance tools. For the last fours years I have been invited to build applications for innovating three dimentional gestual control system including Microsoft, Leap Motion, Thalmic Labs and Oculus.
I was the first developer in the UK to receive prototype hardware kits, I relay technical issues, discuss UX guidelines and release a music application for the hardwares on their launch date.

How I use Music to test

Designing user interactions via music control software is the best way to push hardware and user interfaces to the limits especially with new 3D control systems. Intuitive navigation and control is a must. Simple designs allowing informative interaction points with out the fustration. If I can’t control my own software to make reasonable sounds I’ve failed at user experience (UX)
